The Hands, Heart, and Home (H3) Foundation is dedicated to creating and
promoting community spaces that foster the holistic growth and development of
Black children and families using the Montessori Method. We strive to nurture
hands-on learning, heartfelt connections, and a sense of home within educational
and community environments.
Our Core Concepts:
Hands: Representing hands-on learning, practical life skills, and the
Montessori approach to education.
Heart: Symbolizing emotional intelligence, cultural pride, and community
connections.
Home: Reflecting safe, nurturing environments in schools, families, and
communities.
I am a Pro-Black early childhood educator revolutionizing how we approach learning for Black children and families. With 15 years of teaching experience across traditional, progressive, and African-centered environments, I bring deep expertise to creating educational spaces where cultural identity becomes an academic strength.
My ultimate goal is empowering the next generation through community, culture, and innovative educational methods. I believe when children see their heritage as intellectual wealth, they don't just succeed—they soar.
The work proves that cultural affirmation and academic rigor aren't competing priorities—they're synergistic forces that accelerate learning when properly integrated by skilled, culturally responsive educators.
The False Choice in Education - Too many brilliant Black children face an impossible decision: excel academically or maintain cultural identity. Traditional Montessori schools offer proven methodology but lack cultural relevance.
Our Solution - The Both/And Approach We prove that cultural pride and academic excellence aren't competing priorities—they're synergistic forces that accelerate learning when properly integrated.
We believe at H3 that going beyond four walls is essential. Systemic change requires collaborative power. It is important to us as an organization that we create relationships with those we call our "partners" . Here are a few of our partners in this transformative work.
