Community Herbalist Program

H3 Foundation is partnering with Shamika Essence Miller of What Grandma Said Herbalism School to bring you ongoing herbal education, family wellness support, and the kind of ancestral medicine wisdom that’s been passed down through generations.

This is important because so many of us are looking for ways to care for our families that feel aligned—natural, sustainable, rooted in wisdom rather than overwhelm. We want to know what to do when our kids get a fever, how to soothe a burn, which herbs support sleep, and how to build confidence in our ability to heal.

Shamika Essence Miller

Essence is a gifted herbalist and the founder of What Grandma Said Herbalism School. She carries forward the wisdom of our ancestors—the kind of knowledge that used to be common in every household. She’s passionate about empowering families to care for themselves using plants, and she teaches with warmth, clarity, and deep respect for the healing traditions that have sustained us for generations.

This is more than a membership—it’s a community. A space where families can gather, learn, heal, and grow together using the power of plant medicine and traditional wellness practices.

For $35/month, your family gets:

- Two Office Hours Sessions Monthly (Mondays and Thursdays) where you can drop in at Ancestors’ Seeds Montessori school or virtual for herbal consultations, ask questions, get support for whatever your family is navigating—colds, sleep struggles, stress, skin issues, and more. Essence will be there to guide you with personalized herbal care. You can also purchase handcrafted herbal medicine from her too!

- One Workshop Every Month (30 min - 1 hour) Learn practical skills you can use at home—like creating your own first aid kit, making herbal remedies with your kids, supporting immunity naturally, and so much more. Workshops will be held in-person or virtually so everyone can participate.
